Dr. Adnan Al Adnani
Born in Basra Iraq from a family of scholars, Adnan was schooled in Scotland in his early years. He spent his teenage years in Kuwait where he finished his undergraduate studies. He returned to Scotland for further study, full time research and work. This is where his spiritual journey and seeking began although his quest for deeper understanding was evident throughout his life.

He now lives in Belgium with his wife and four children. He works in the field of Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering and Telecommunications Engineering and holds a PhD in Electronics Engineering from the University of Strathclyde. He is also an IEEE Senior Member. He is a frequent speaker at many international Sufi conferences and gatherings held in South Africa and in Europe and is a respected scholar and researcher in both his field of scientific study as well as spirituality and the Qur’an.
Leyya Kalla
From Johannesburg South Africa, Leyya completed her graduate studies at the University of Witwatersrand in Information Systems before embarking on an accelerated development program in Digital Product Management in the South African Banking sector. She pursued large scale projects with Virgin Money, Absa, Nedbank and Vodacom before her quest for outer purpose overtook her to shift her focus on Development Finance at the DBSA in South Africa. Here her work with government and international aid agencies in addition to the BRICS banks ensued. Her spiritual journey and seeking continued through her career, travels and personal studies but were formalized with her tutelage with Shaykh Fadhlalla Haeri in 2012.

She is now a director of her own management consulting company Quintessence Development Solutions in addition to Strategiexe a strategy software management tool. She works mainly with the South African public sector and small to medium size enterprises in an advisory capacity. Her passion and quest for spiritual knowledge continues through her work as a ghost writer and scribe for many of Shaykh Fadhlalla Haeri's publications in addition to publications of her own. She volunteers actively for the SFH Foundation which is focused on disseminating knowledge about original Islam and Sufism. She hosts regular Sufi gatherings focused on Quranic interpretation, meditation and reflection in Johannesburg.
